Earlier this week, I went to see Incredibles 2 with a friend of mine. The first movie was definitely one of my favorite Pixar movies, so my expectations were pretty high. To put it bluntly this movie is a worthy sequel to a fantastic prequel. If you don't analyze it as your seeing it, then it is a very entertaining film with a good mix of action and comedy. If you do analyze it, then the movie still has all of these qualities, and a fair number of plot holes. Most of these stem from the movie's pacing. It was a bit too fast, and that can make some transitions between plot points feel forced. There were also some plot holes that were simply inconsistencies within the lore of the Incredibles universe. Mr. Incredible's strength seems less impressive than it was in the first movie, and Frozone's powers are inconsistent in general. This movie also had yet another occurrence of hypnosis being inaccurately portrayed in pop culture, although that is more of a personal gripe. I think that this movie is best experienced when you simply enjoy it, and don't spend the whole time breaking it down.

.Waluigi was a character first created in 2000 by Nintendo. He was made to be a tennis partner for Wario in the game Mario Tennis. In the 18 years since that point, the character has amassed a cult following of fans. Despite all of the hype surrounding Waluigi, the company that created him repeatedly shuns him. This is evidenced by the fact that he is one of the only people in his franchise to never star in a game of his own. With the reveal of Super Smash Bros Ultimate, Waluigi fans had hoped that this would finally be the "living meme's" big break. If he received a place in this prestigious franchise, he would finally be acknowledged! However, he was confirmed as an assist trophy and was even killed on-screen. This tragedy got its own article in The Washington Post. Sadly, well-wishers of this icon will just have to be content with having Waluigi in Mario spin-off games until this legend eventually wows the world with something incredible.
